  The Role  

We are looking for a driven, commercially astute Business Development Executive who thrives in high-value, consultative sales. You’ll take ownership of generating new business, building strategic relationships, and closing deals that shape the UK’s green skills landscape.

This isn’t a role where you wait for leads to drop in your lap. It’s for someone who enjoys creating opportunities, not just chasing them. If you can combine persistence with intelligence, and relationships with results, you’ll have the freedom to make this role your own.

What You’ll Do

  • Open Doors: Identify and target decision-makers in corporate, education, and public sector markets.
  • Create Pipeline: Generate and qualify leads through outbound outreach, LinkedIn networking, referrals, and events.
  • Consult & Influence: Understand client challenges and position Verciti’s Skills Bootcamps, training programmes, and AR solutions as the answer.
  • Close Strategically: Negotiate high-value contracts, close them and deliver against agreed sales targets.
  • Build Partnerships: Maintain long-term relationships that generate repeat and referral business.
  • Represent the Brand: Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities as a Verciti ambassador.
  • Stay Ahead: Feed back market insights to help shape our training offers and commercial strategy.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Proven track record in B2B sales or business development, ideally in consultative or solution-based selling.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to engage C-suite and senior decision-makers.
  • Self-starter with a results-driven mindset comfortable with both autonomy and accountability.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, target-driven environments
  • Ability to create and manage your own pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Based in or able to commute to Manchester City Centre

Desirable:

  • Background in training, education, sustainability, or technology sales.
  • Knowledge of government-funded training programmes.
  • Experience selling AR/VR, AI or other tech-enabled learning solutions.
